Covid-19 will come to Vietnam in 7 phases

Located in 2021, Vietnam is expected to receive 150 million doses of vaccine and is divided into 7 batches with suppliers AstraZeneca, Covax and domestically produced products.

Phase 2: 1.5 million doses of vaccine will be returned to the country in the first quarter and second quarter of this year, including: Covax provides 1.2 million, while 363,000 doses will be provided by AstraCeneca. Those on the front line and diplomats, customs, immigration and military personnel were vaccinated.

Phase 3: Vietnam will buy 8.2 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine. These vaccines are expected to be provided in the second quarter. Military personnel who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 in the previous round and police forces, teachers at all levels, and people over 80 years old will be vaccinated in this batch.

Phase 4: the next 10.9 million doses are expected in the third quarter. Of which 3.6 million doses are from Covax, followed by 7.32 million doses from AstraCeneca. Subjects to be vaccinated are people over 80 years old who have not received the third round of vaccination, people with chronic illnesses, and people working in essential service providers.

Phase 5: about 14.4 million doses from AstraZeneca, are expected to return to the country in the fourth quarter of this year or the first quarter of next year, for people with chronic diseases who have not been vaccinated after the previous wave.

Phase 6: Covax will supply 25.2 million doses, the vaccine is expected to return to the country in the fourth quarter or next quarter. Subjects to be vaccinated are people with chronic diseases and not yet using the 3, 4, 5 vaccine series and the elderly from 65-80.

Stage 7: 90.5 million doses of vaccine from foreign sources and domestically produced, the next will be available in the fourth quarter of 2021 to the second quarter of 2022. Large quantities of this vaccine are given to citizens aged 65-80 years who have not yet vaccinated. vaccine in batch 6 and people over 18 years old are not included in the above mentioned group.
